The Vinton County National Bank was founded. The McArthur Office at 112 W. Main St. is the original location of The Vinton County National Bank.
The bank expanded and opened the Wilkesville location.
First drive-thru depot opened at the McArthur Branch.
The charter to operate a bank holding company known as Community Bancshares, Inc. was approved.
CBI acquired the First Bremen Bank.
The Lancaster East Main Street location was acquired.
The Lancaster West Fair office was purchased.
The two Chillicothe banking locations were purchased.
The brand new Canal Winchester location opened for business.
VCNB purchased two locations in Laurelville and one in Tarlton. A newly constructed Bremen Bank of Pataskala was built.
The Richmond Dale and Logan banking offices were purchased.
All Community Bancshares Inc. banks became The Vinton County National Bank under one national charter.
Construction of a new building in Logan on Hunter Street began and is to be completed by fall of 2011.
