Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required. Previous banking, leadership, management, and sales experience preferred.
Position Description: Directs all aspects of the daily management of the bank's retail operation. Provides leadership, direction, and implementation of all sales efforts including outside calling, promoting and developing new business for the bank. Accountable for sales and growth results. Develops strategic goals and implementation programs. Identifies needs of the bank offices. Directs and coordinates all aspects of retail banking functions from staffing to products. Chief Internal Auditor

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required, in Accounting Preferred. Previous audit experience also preferred.
Position Description: Conducts detailed reviews and audits of bank activities which include examining assets, liabilities, income and expense accounts, accounting systems, and all related records in accordance with GAAP and established bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. Supervises audit staff, prepares formal reports documenting examinations performed. Formulates procedures for practical internal controls and audit trails to be incorporated into the operations of the bank. Provides recommendations for any deficiencies found in the course of reviews and appraises the adequacy and effectiveness of correction action taken. Presents reports to bank management and the Board of Director's Audit Committee. Fair and Equitable Pay.

Management Trainee

The Vinton County National Bank is continually recruiting eager, talented, and bright individuals to join our Management Trainee Program. This is an 18-24 month program where trainees learn and work in all areas of the bank including:

Requirements for this program include a minimum educational level of a Bachelor’s Degree. Desired candidate should be willing to be located within any of our market areas. Other skills necessary for a successful candidate include strong written and oral communication skills, leadership qualities, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a high level desire to learn and grow with our organization.
